Can I really hoop?

Can I really hoop?

Yes! You don’t need to be young, flexible or already fit to begin. Many people simply struggled before because they were using a hoop that was too small or too light.

A properly sized, weighted hoop rotates more slowly around your waist, giving you more time to find your rhythm and keep it moving. Start with just a few minutes, expect the hoop to drop while you learn, and enjoy the process—every twirl is progress.

How to start safely?

How to start safely?

  • Choose a clear, open space where the hoop can rotate without hitting furniture or anyone nearby.
  • Begin with short sessions and gradually increase your hooping time. It can be tempting to continue when you’re having fun, but overdoing it at the start may cause soreness around your abdomen.
  • If you have a current spine injury or another existing medical condition that may be affected by hooping, consult your doctor or physiotherapist before starting.
